Amazon coup: An exclusive deal for ‘Veronica Mars’ on eve of movie debut

Cult series “Veronica Mars” has found a new online home.

Amazon today announced it had signed an online content exclusive, its second in two days, this time for the Warner Bros. television hit starring Kristen Bell.

Prime Instant Video subscribers will have access to al three seasons on the series. A fan-funded “Veronica Mars” movie is set for release March 14.

Amazon, continuing to make exclusive content deals with CBS, today announced it will stream CBS’s new Sci-fi series "Extant" four days after it's broadcast on television. The deal is a follow up to the success the two companies enjoyed with the CBS summer hit “Under the Dome.”

Hulu adds new kids content in battle for younger viewers... and their parents

Hulu is adding a little more candy to its kids' offerings, making a non-exclusive deal with multimedia education company Scholastic Media for a raft of over-the-top video.

The agreement brings Scholastic Media’s popular TV shows The Baby-Sitters ClubI SPY and the animated version of Horrible Histories to Hulu Plus subscribers.

FCC Rules Comcast Move Tennis Channel to Better Tier

Game, set, match. The FCC ruled 3-2 that Comcast discriminated against the Tennis Channel, having relegated the channel to a lower tier. As a result, Comcast was fined $375,000 and now must move the Tennis Channel within 45 days to a tier on par with the Golf Channel and NBC Sports Networks -- both of which are owned by Comcast, AdWeek reports.
