Verizon’s got game with free NBA League Pass for some mobile subs

Verizon finally has added some real value – if you’re an NBA fan – to its under-performing Go90 mobile app.

The telco has added Stream Pass to Go90, which gives Verizon mobile users (among other things) a full subscription to NBA League Pass – at least if you’re a new Verizon customer or have opted for Verizon’s “Large plan” or higher, which includes 8 GB of shared data plus an additional 2 GB of data per line for $70/mo. Otherwise, the subscription is $99.50, about half the normal rate. NBA League Pass allows users to watch any NBA team’s games and your local team’s out-of-market games (except those nationally broadcast). And none of it counts against your mobile data cap.

In addition to the NBA, Stream Pass allows viewers to watch up to five weekly NFL games and also includes soccer matches from LaLiga, Serie A, Ligue 1, CONMEBOL and CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers, Liga MX and NASL win beIN SPORTS and Univision Deportes broadcast of Liga MX, as well as some football. Verizon is planning to offer more content.

Users also can cast soccer from go90 to TV by using Belkin Miracast, Google Chromecast or Apple TV.

Stay tuned.
