The past quarter has been transformational for Videoplaza, and we are very excited about the year ahead. Our integration with our new parent company, Ooyala, is going very well; we’re seeing great synergies and opportunities already. Despite the big changes to our company we will continue to focus on providing you and your business with the best products, services and experience in the year ahead.
We are committed to providing the most comprehensive and sophisticated monetisation and video platform for broadcasters and publishers, and we now have the financial backing to invest long term in R&D on a level that far outpaces our competition.
In the coming year we will be investing significantly into key areas of both tech and people, specifically:
We work continuously to increase stability and reliability in our core platform and will continue to do so during the year with large investments in our server park more than doubling the number of servers, ensuring the stability and reliability of the core technologies upon which your ad revenues depend.
Programmatic and holistic ad decisioning
We will build a stronger connection between Karbon and Konnect, thus improving holistic ad decisioning across platforms. We will also continue to expand our programmatic ecosystem with more DSP’s in local markets.
Advertising quality and accuracy
We will be investing to integrate quality and audience data into the platform, thereby introducing campaign planning, budgeting and reporting on engagement, viewability and audience metrics.
Next generation forecasting
We will build a new simulation based forecasting engine to power the industries most advanced forecasting capabilities, including detailed campaign simulation with impact analysis and full understanding of inventory and booking status.
Integrations and toolkits
We will continue to build out our our API’s, SDK's and plug-ins to support all relevant platforms and features. Initial focus will be on world-class plug and play solutions for HTML5.
We will more than double the R&D head-count in 2015 speeding up innovation and accelerating our ability to ship products, thus ensuring our position as innovation leaders.
Finally, we want it to be clear that although we are now an Ooyala company, you can continue to work with the video platform of your choice -- after all you selected your partners for a reason. We have strong relationships with all of our video platform partners, and we intend to continue to work with them closely and keep all integrations up to date. There will be no need for you to switch with whom you work. While we are working to take advantage of the synergies in our solutions and technologies to provide increased customer value, both Ooyala and Videoplaza solutions will remain available as standalone solutions.
