You can do so by navigating to the Publish tab-> Syndication Controls sub-tab, picking a syndication rule, and setting the “Allow Mobile Playback” option. Third, publishers can now deliver content to HTML 5 embeds using HTTP Adaptive Bitrate Streaming. Publishers can now choose the frequency with which ads are played to a user consuming their content. To see the new 'Ad Frequency' options, navigate to the Publish tab -> Ad Sets sub-tab, and select an Ad Set. For each ad in the ad set, you will see two 'Ad Frequency' options just below Ad Position. The first option allows you to specify after how many videos the first ad should be shown. For example, you can set 'Show first ad after 2 videos'. The second option allows you to choose the frequency with which the ads should be played. For example, you can set 'Play an ad every 3 videos'. 'Ad Frequency' options are available for all Backlot accounts and can be used for both Ooyala ads as well as third party ad platforms.

We expanded our playback functionality to support two new options: buffering on pause events and bitrate selection. Both of these new options are available for each player in the Publish Tab->Player Branding area. Toggling the ‘Bitrates’ option will allow viewers to select the quality they would like to view the content in - Low, Medium, High or Auto. Selecting the ‘Buffer on Pause’ option will continue to download the video when the viewer pauses the player. We also added a buffer bar in the player to indicate how much of a piece of content has been loaded into the player. These features are available for all Backlot accounts.
